Hackers say Sony is refusing to pay up after cyberattack Sony has appeared on the dark web victim blog of data extortion gang Ransomedvc, who claim to have infiltrated the company’s systems and stolen sensitive data. If confirmed, it will be the second time Sony has been breached in a matter of months, after the business was hit as part of the MOVEit Transfer vulnerability attacks.
Ransomedvc wrote on its blog that it had “successfully compromised all of Sony’s systems”, but added: “We won’t ransom them!” Sony cyberattack a success?
The gang alleges that Sony has refused to pay to retrieve the data, and says it plans to sell it instead. It is threatening to release the allegedly stolen information on 28 September. Samples of the data have been posted alongside these claims, reportedly featuring a PowerPoint presentation from Sony’s quality assurance division, internal screenshots displaying what could be a Sony workstation, and some Java files. You’ll Never Believe Kim Kardashian’s Vulgar First Line on ‘American Horror Story’ It turns out to be incredibly fitting that Kim Kardashian plays a publicist in the new season of American Horror Story. Depending on whether or not you subscribe to the philosophy that any press is good press, American Horror Story has had a very bad (or maybe a very good) week. As if it weren’t enough that FX’s hit anthology series—which premiered its 12th installment, AHS: Delicate, Sept. 20—was accused of crossing the WGA’s picket line in a race to finish production over the summer, the show became embroiled in another scandal this week. Though fans were excited for series regular Emma Roberts to return in a lead role, that anticipation soured when Angelica Ross, who starred in Season 9, accused Roberts of transphobic behavior on set and criticized series creator Ryan Murphy for making false promises to her about involving her in the casting of an all-Black AHS, before ghosting and allegedly costing h...

Steelers' defense leads win over Browns who lose RB Nick Chubb The Pittsburgh Steelers used defensive touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters to defeat the Cleveland Browns 26-22 on Monday night at Acrisure Stadium, leaving the Browns winless in Pittsburgh in the regular season since 2003. But the score wasn't the most painful loss for the Browns (1-1), as running back Nick Chubb suffered a significant left knee injury in the second quarter and was carted off the field. The Steelers moved to 1-1 with the win.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers' offense couldn't score, but that didn't stop their defense from finding the end zone to beat the Browns. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith scored nine seconds into the game, returning an interception 30 yards for a score when Minkah Fitzpatrick deflected Deshaun Watson's first pass of the game. Then, as the Steelers trailed by three in the fourth quarter, Highsmith made another big play by forcing a Watson fumble, w...

Ex Smash Mouth vocalist Steve Harwell enters hospice care 'being cared for by his fiancée' Steve Harwell, former lead vocalist of the rock band Smash Mouth, is in hospice care, USA TODAY has learned. Robert Hayes, a longtime manager of Harwell and the band, told USA TODAY on Sunday that the 56-year-old singer is "resting at home" and "being cared for by his fiancée and hospice care." The rep adds that the family is asking for "privacy during this difficult time." TMZ, which was the first outlet to report the news, reported Harwell has "reached the final stage of liver failure" due to alcohol abuse throughout his life. In October 2021, Harwell announced his retirement from the band following a fumbled performance at a beer and wine festival. During an appearance with the band at The Big Sip in New York, a video of Harwell slurring his speech, cursing at the audience, and making a gesture that resembled a Nazi salute, became viral.
